AP/AR Specialist (Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm) Temp On-Site

 RK Logistics Group is looking for an AP/AR Specialist for a temporary role lasting 3-4 months.  As an AR/AP Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and processing accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial data, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end closing processes. Additionally, you will handle customer invoicing, payment collections, vendor payments, and maintain detailed records of all financial transactions.    

Key Responsibilities and Duties 

• Manage and process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions 
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial data 
• Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end closing processes 
• Handle customer invoicing and payment collections 
• Process vendor payments and maintain detailed records of all financial transactions 
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies 
• Review billing records to identify and address issues such as duplicate payments or billing errors that may delay payments 
• Oversee accounts receivable collections, communicate with clients regarding payment confirmations, maintain the department email inbox, address billing discrepancies and questions, and work with the customer service department to resolve any issues 
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications and Skills Needed 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 
• 2+ years of previous experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable roles 
• Understanding of AP accrual process 
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices 
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software 
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data 
• Certification in accounting (e.g., CPA) is a plus 
• Experience with Cargowise and/or Stampli is a plus.
