Description

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Linux & Ansible Automation Engineer (Level 2) with a minimum of 3 years of practical experience in infrastructure automation, specifically using Ansible and the Ansible Automation Platform (AAP). This role involves creating and managing automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and ensure reliability across Linux environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections for automating system setups, application deployments, and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Administer and support the Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), including managing job templates, inventories, workflows, and credentials.
  • Work alongside DevOps, Cloud, and Security teams to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
  • Automate tasks like patching, compliance checks, and system hardening on Linux servers.
  • Diagnose and fix issues related to automation processes and system performance.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of automation workflows and best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with other teams to support automation initiatives.


Requirements

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience using Ansible for automation.
  • Strong background in Linux system administration (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Proficient in creating and managing Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules.
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible Automation Platform or AWX.
  • Familiarity with Bash or Python scripting.
  • Competence in using Git and version control best practices.
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their integration with automation tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation or a similar credential.
  • Experience with public cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker or Podman.
  • Understanding of monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Experience with IT service management tools like ServiceNow.
