3D Animators (junior-mid-senior)

We are looking for Animators of all levels (Junior, Mid, and Senior) to join our team on-site at our offices in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. This is a fully office-based position.

/ YOUR ROLE:

• Create compelling and realistic character animation, ensuring it meets project aesthetic and technical standards. The complexity, autonomy and efficiency in this task will increase with your level.
• Work closely with the department lead/supervisor and production team to understand project requirements and integrate realistic character performance throughout the animation process. Your proactive engagement will grow with your level.
• Actively seek, receive, and concisely incorporate feedback from leads and supervisors to refine your work.
• Ensure your work meets departmental quality standards.
• Identify and escalate both technical and artistic challenges within the animation pipeline.
• Provide estimates for animation tasks to the Production Owner to aid in prioritizing the work schedule.
• Act as a resource and mentor for more junior animators, sharing knowledge, best practices, and helping to foster their growth within the team.
  

/ WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Creativity.
• Academic training/degree in Animation.
• Previous experience in a similar position between 6 months and 5 years regarding the level required and type of animation assigned.
• For Senior level: quadruped experience required (knowledge about animal anatomy, body mechanics and behaviour).
• Cartoon style experience is a plus.
• Solid knowledge about posing, weight and timing in Motion.
• Knowledge about Maya.
• Team working skills (communication, leading and prioritization of daily tasks).
• Technical comprehension on characters and rigs.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish (French and Chinese are a plus).

/ GENERAL INFORMATION:

• Office-based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.
• Working shift: Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 16.00, Friday 08.00 to 14.00.
• Contract type: project, estimated duration 14 months. Opportunity for continued employment through successive projects.
