AI Prompt Engineer (Image Generation)

Role Overview

We are hiring an AI Prompt Engineer (Image Generation) on a 3-month renewable contract to generate high-quality, visually consistent, and biblically grounded imagery for a faith-based digital product.

This is not a basic “prompt writing” role. We are looking for someone who understands how to control AI outputs with precision, think in visual systems, and translate scripture into imagery that is both theologically respectful and emotionally compelling.

You will be responsible for turning written biblical content into scalable, production-ready visuals using AI tools, balancing creativity, accuracy, and consistency at all times.

Product Context & Values Alignment

Alveum is building a faith-based Christian product focused on biblical content, learning, and spiritual growth. This role involves creating visuals rooted in scripture and Christian teachings.

We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds; however, this product is explicitly Christian in nature. Candidates should be comfortable working on and contributing to content centered around the Christian faith.

Key Responsibilities

Prompt Design & Image Generation

• Create detailed and effective prompts for AI image generation tools to produce high-quality visuals
• Generate images that accurately reflect biblical stories, themes, and teachings
• Iterate on prompts to improve output quality, consistency, and alignment with requirements
• Maintain a consistent visual style across all generated content

Content Interpretation & Visual Storytelling

• Translate Bible passages, devotionals, and concepts into engaging visual representations
• Ensure images are culturally appropriate, respectful, and aligned with Christian values
• Interpret feedback and refine outputs to better match creative direction

Quality Control & Review

• Review generated images for accuracy, quality, and adherence to guidelines
• Collaborate with reviewers and content teams to ensure theological and visual correctness
• Make necessary revisions based on feedback and quality standards

Collaboration & Workflow

• Work closely with content writers, product teams, and reviewers to understand requirements
• Participate in task planning and delivery timelines
• Organize and manage prompt libraries and image assets efficiently
  

Core Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working with AI image generation tools (e.g. Midjourney, Freepik, Nano Banana etc.)
• Strong ability to write clear, structured, and effective prompts
• Good understanding of composition, lighting, color, and visual aesthetics
• Ability to interpret written content into visual outputs
• Experience iterating based on feedback and improving outputs systematically
• Strong attention to detail and quality

Nice to Have

• Background in design, illustration, or visual arts
• Familiarity with Bible stories, themes, and Christian teachings
• Experience working on content-heavy or storytelling-based products
