They are seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join their team in Krakow on a 6-month contract. This role offers you the opportunity to take ownership of quality assurance across diverse projects, working with modern automation tools and contributing to robust testing strategies.
Position Overview
As a QA Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring software quality across the full development lifecycle. You'll design and implement automated test plans covering frontend integration, visual regression, end-to-end and synthetic testing, whilst also contributing to backend, API and performance testing initiatives. Your work will directly impact product reliability and user experience, as you collaborate closely with development and product teams to transform business requirements into comprehensive automated test strategies. This position offers hands-on experience with modern testing frameworks and the chance to influence quality standards across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement frontend test automation using tools such as Selenium and Playwright
- Develop integration, visual regression, end-to-end and synthetic tests
- Build and maintain backend and API test automation using Postman, Bruno or similar tools
- Create performance testing strategies using JMeter, Gatling or Locust
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor and report on quality metrics and indicators
- Transform business requirements into detailed automated test plans and scripts
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure quality throughout projects
- Apply understanding of micro-frontend architecture to testing strategies
- Take ownership of quality assurance processes and outcomes
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in software or quality engineering with test automation focus
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance best practices
- Expertise in frontend test automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test integration
- Proficiency in backend and API testing tools including Postman, Bruno, Spring WebTestClient or WireMock
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling or Locust
- Strong focus on metrics and quality indicators
- Understanding of micro-frontend architecture including shared dependencies and integration boundaries
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Clear verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work onsite in Krakow
Nice to Have:
- Experience with security testing tools such as OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite
- Accessibility testing knowledge including WCAG standards and automated checks
- Localization testing experience covering regional formats and right-to-left layouts
