Senior Databricks Platform Automation Engineer - Remote / Telecommute

Pay Range: $55.00hr - $60.00hr

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a Senior Databricks Platform Automation Engineer to design, implement, and support platform capabilities. The candidate will focus on workspace provisioning, governance, and Infrastructure as Code to establish scalable and secure standards.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will design, implement, and support Databricks platform capabilities, including workspace provisioning, RBAC and access management, Unity Catalog administration, cluster and compute governance, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and Databricks Asset Bundle (DAB) deployments. The candidate will develop automation for workspace lifecycle management, user onboarding, service principals, and environment configuration. The role involves supporting the deployment and operationalization of Databricks workloads, including Genie Agents, workflows, jobs, and data products. The candidate will partner with cloud, security, and data engineering teams to establish scalable, secure, and governed platform standards.

• AWS (preferred) or Azure Cloud.
• Python/Scripting & Platform Automation.
• 5+ years of Cloud Platform Engineering experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Databricks Platform Administration and Automation experience.
