Senior QA Analyst – Test Automation Engineer

Exciting contract opportunity in the insurance industry for an experienced professional with expertise in test automation, quality engineering, and software validation. Work in a hybrid model with exposure to modernizing financial systems, leveraging advanced testing tools, and collaborating across global teams.

What is in it for you:

• Salaried: $70-78 per hour.
• Incorporated Business Rate: $83-93 per hour.
• 12-month contract.
• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
• Weekday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm.
• Hybrid work: in-office Tuesday to Thursday.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, build, and maintain test strategies, plans, cases, and scripts to ensure quality and coverage through functional, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing of complex systems.
• Create, evolve, and continually improve automated test scripts and coverage using a variety of automation tools and technologies.
• Execute manual tests that cannot be automated.
• Adhere to Quality Engineer standards, best practices, and audit requirements.
• Analyze defects, ensure system tests are successfully completed, documented, and all issues resolved.
• Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with peers.
• Help develop and champion test automation as a practice within the team.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Quality Engineers, Analysts, Business partners, and third-party vendors.
• Mentor and coach team members on automation best practices.

What you will need to succeed:

• University degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience, including 5+ years in automated testing.
• Hands-on expertise with automation technologies such as Katalon, Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, Maven, Perfecto, Jenkins, JMeter, Postman, Bruno, and other frameworks.
• Proven experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, .NET, Node.js/React, or Python.
• 5+ years developing, coding, and executing test automation scripts for distributed web solutions, including UI and microservices/API.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance practices, automation tools, and risk-based testing principles.
• Experience writing complex test plans and test cases.
• Ability to identify productivity improvements and adapt quickly to change.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Strong planning, organization, risk management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
