Our client is recruiting a Test Automation Engineer to join their quality assurance team in Krakow. Position Overview

As a Test Automation Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of complex software systems. You'll design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks that validate functionality across web applications, APIs and big data platforms. Your work will directly impact the delivery of high-quality solutions to clients, helping to reduce defects and accelerate release cycles. You'll work alongside developers and quality specialists, contributing to a culture of continuous testing and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and frameworks such as PyTest and Robot Framework
• Design comprehensive test automation strategies for web applications, APIs and big data systems
• Build and configure CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI to enable continuous testing
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and the Requests library
• Conduct big data testing to validate data processing, integrity and performance
• Implement browser automation using Selenium and other tools to test web interfaces
• Leverage AI tools to enhance test preparation and optimise test automation script design
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve quality issues
• Maintain version control using Git and follow best practices for code management
• Document test cases, results and automation frameworks for team reference

Requirements

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in Python programming for test automation
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as PyTest or Robot Framework
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI
• Proven experience in big data testing and validation
• Understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Experience with browser automation tools such as Selenium
• Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or the Requests library
• 6-8 years of experience in test automation or related quality assurance roles

Desirable Skills:

• Hands-on experience using AI tools to support test preparation and automation design
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
• Knowledge of PySpark for big data processing
• DevOps and automation best practices
