Web Automation Engineer

Role: Web Automation Engineer

Location: Raleigh, NC

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement end-to-end quality processes for engineering teams practicing full test automation without separate QA
  
• Teach and promote Quality CoE best practices in automation technology, test pyramid health, release management, and SDLC ways of working
  
• Monitor and manage autmated test suites to optimize reliability, coverage, and developer productivity
  
• Collaborate with engineering leads and the Quality CoE to define test strategy, scope, and success metrics (e.g., automation levels, change failure rate)
  
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, test environments, and tooling (e.g., feature toggles, test data management, vendor integrations)
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• 6-9 years of professional experience writing test automation code for web applications
  
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and ability to interpret unit and integration test code
  
• Experience with Playwright (Angular/JavaScript), Appium (Python/JavaScript), and/or Wiremock is a plus
  
• Proven ability to manage automated functional test suites and balance coverage with developer efficiency
  
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline management, test automation frameworks, and quality tooling
  
• This is a hybrid role that will require onsite support every other week.
