Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: 12-Month Contract (Long-Term Potential)
Schedule: Onsite 3 days/week (minimum)

Overview
A leading energy client in Dallas is seeking an AI Architect to support enterprise-wide AI initiatives, with a strong focus on Generative AI and Microsoft’s AI ecosystem (Azure AI, Copilot, Foundry).
This is a hands-on architecture role for someone who can operate at both the strategic and technical levels—designing scalable AI solutions while also contributing to development and guiding teams. You’ll play a key role in shaping AI roadmaps, defining architecture standards, and presenting solutions to leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. AI Architecture, Strategy & Solution Design

Design end-to-end AI architectures using Microsoft AI platforms (Azure AI, Copilot, Foundry)

Define reference architectures for Generative AI use cases

Evaluate and select tools with a focus on cost efficiency and delivery speed

Guide platform teams on AI infrastructure readiness

Optimize compute, storage, and operational costs
-
Establish AI governance frameworks aligned with enterprise security, data governance, and compliance standards

Design monitoring, auditability, and lifecycle management for AI systems
2. AI Application Development & Integration

Develop AI solutions using Azure AI Foundry and Copilot Studio

Build and deploy LLM-powered applications

Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems and workflows

Work with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) for AI-driven automation and insights

Design, extend, and customize Copilot solutions

Integrate services using Microsoft Graph, REST APIs, and Fabric
3. Strategy, Roadmapping & Leadership

Identify and define AI use cases aligned to business problems

Develop AI roadmaps, blueprints, and adoption strategies

Present architectural concepts and strategies to technical and executive stakeholders
- Mentor development and admin teams

Support proof of concepts (POCs) and pilot initiatives
Required Skills & Experience

Strong expertise in Generative AI concepts:
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Embeddings & Vector Search
- Hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Azure AI ecosystem (Azure AI, Copilot, Foundry)
- Cloud architecture & solution design
- Experience integrating systems using:
- Microsoft Graph, REST APIs, Microsoft Fabric
- Solid understanding of:
- AI governance, security, and compliance frameworks
- Cloud fundamentals (Azure preferred)
