Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

A well-established manufacturing and distribution company is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its growing accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a few years of accounting experience who is looking to grow their career in a stable organization with long-term potential.
The selected candidate will work closely with the Staff Accountant and support the day-to-day accounting operations while gaining exposure to additional accounting responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently
- Generate customer invoices and manage accounts receivable collections
- Apply customer payments and reconcile outstanding balances
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Assist with month-end closing activities
- Communicate with vendors and customers regarding payment inquiries
- Support the accounting team with administrative and financial reporting tasks
- Perform additional accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general accounting experience
- Experience preparing journal entries
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Experience with any accounting or ERP software is a plus, but not required
- Manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain industry experience is preferred
