As our Australian team expands, we're looking for an Assistant Accountant to support our growing finance function. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who’s detail-driven, dependable, and ready to play a key part in keeping our day-to-day operations running smoothly. 

This role sits at the heart of that mission. 

• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes. 
• Schedule and process invoice payments. 
• Reconcile transactions and support month-end reporting. 
• Process and verify employee expense claims. 
• Maintain accurate financial records and support general ledger tasks. 
• Collaborate closely with Shield AI’s US finance team. 

• Previous experience in accounts payable or general accounting support. 
• Good working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel. 
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to task ownership. 
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, cross-border environment. 
• A team player mindset and willingness to learn and grow. 
• Finance or accounting qualification (completed or in progress) desirable.
