Automation Engineer, SRE

Locations: Iselin, NJ/Charlotte, NC/Chandler, AZ (Hybrid)
Duration- 1 year
Pay- $65-$70/Hr with $5NP Fee

Job Profile Summary:

  • General Engineering: Covers Principal Engineering jobs which design and perform engineering solutions on computer hardware, software, and networking tools to meet the organization's needs.
  • Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Systems Operations Engineering.
  • Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Systems Operations Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
  • Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
  • Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.

 Job Description:

  • Design, implement, and maintain highly available infrastructure systems (compute, storage, networking).
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address reliability issues.
  • Manage capacity planning and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Partner with application developers to design scalable and resilient architectures.
  • Provide infrastructure guidance during application design and deployment phases.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate infrastructure automation into development workflows.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
  • Automate operational tasks and improve deployment processes.
  • Build and maintain observability tools (monitoring, logging, alerting).
  • Lead incident response efforts and post-mortem analysis.
  • Implement and refine runbooks and escalation procedures.
  • Drive improvements based on incident learnings.
  • Ensure infrastructure adheres to security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with InfoSec teams to implement controls and monitor vulnerabilities.

 Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or SRE roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go).
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD).
