Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to work onsite with healthcare clients. The role involves bridging business needs with technology solutions, supporting data-driven decision-making, and ensuring successful delivery of healthcare analytics and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with healthcare stakeholders (clinical, operational, and business teams) to gather and document business requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and process workflows.
  • Work closely with data engineering, analytics, and product teams to ensure accurate solution design and implementation.
  • Perform gap analysis, impact assessment, and feasibility studies for new initiatives or enhancements.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and requirement walkthrough sessions.
  • Support data validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment activities.
  • Analyze healthcare datasets (claims, EMR/EHR, patient, provider, and pharmaceutical data) to generate actionable insights.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, HL7/FHIR standards where applicable).
  • Prepare business reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Act as a liaison between onsite client teams and offshore delivery teams to ensure seamless communication.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the Healthcare or Life Sciences domain.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data (claims, EMR/EHR, payer-provider ecosystems).
  • Experience in requirement gathering, BRD/FRD documentation, and user story creation.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR) is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in onsite-offshore delivery models.
  • Exposure to healthcare analytics, population health, or real-world evidence (RWE).
  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, and compliance in healthcare.
  • Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile certifications are a plus.

Pay:

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $140,000 - $155,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.


Benefits:

As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
