The FSI Technology Lead serves as Intel's senior technical advisor for the Financial Services Industry, responsible for shaping industry strategy, influencing product direction, and driving executive customer engagement across the world's leading financial institutions.
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Strategic Accounts and Global Head of FSI Strategy, this role works closely with Northeast regional sales team, solution architects, engineering, product organizations, and ecosystem partners to align Intel's technology strategy with customer and market requirements. The FSI Technology Lead operates across Intel's global FSI community, providing thought leadership, workload expertise, and technical guidance to support consistent execution of Intel's financial services strategy worldwide.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and executive presence to help customers solve complex business challenges while influencing Intel's roadmap, accelerating adoption of Intel technologies, and expanding the impact of Intel's Financial Technical Executive Council, FinTEC, as Intel's premier voice of customer platform.
Key Responsibilities:
FSI Technology Leadership and Strategy
Serve as Intel's senior technical lead for the global Financial Services Industry, working closely with Account Executives and ecosystem partners to influence customer strategy, accelerate adoption, and deliver scalable, differentiated solutions.
Collaborate across Intel's global FSI community and regional teams to scale best practices, customer success stories, and technical thought leadership.
Identify emerging technology trends, competitive threats, and industry requirements that impact Intel's growth strategy.
Partner with the Global Head of FSI Strategy to define and execute Intel's industry strategy across banking, capital markets, payments, insurance, asset management, and fintech.
Customer Engagement
Build trusted relationships with CIOs, Chief Architects, AI leaders, technical and business executives, and quantitative engineering teams at strategic FSI accounts.
Partner with account executives and solution teams to advance complex customer opportunities and remove technical barriers.
Represent Intel at customer executive briefings, industry conferences, FinTEC events, and technical forums when appropriate.
Serve as Intel's technical spokesperson for FSI technology trends and innovation externally and internally.
Workload Strategy and Architecture Leadership
Develop Intel's strategy and technical point of view for critical FSI workloads, including:
High Performance Computing, HPC, and Grid Computing supporting risk analytics, Monte Carlo simulations, portfolio optimization, pricing models, and quantitative research.
Low Latency and High Frequency Trading, HFT, environments requiring deterministic performance, market data processing, transaction execution, and microsecond sensitive infrastructure.
Virtualized and Containerized Platforms supporting private cloud, hybrid cloud, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and large-scale enterprise modernization initiatives.
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning workloads, including fraud detection, risk management, customer analytics, agentic AI, and inference at scale.
Data Analytics and Real-Time Processing platforms supporting trading, payments, anti-money laundering, and regulatory reporting.
Hybrid Cloud and Infrastructure Modernization initiatives spanning on-premises, colocation, and public cloud environments.
Voice of the Customer and Product Influence
ct as the primary technical advocate for FSI requirements across Intel's business units, including DCAI, networking, software, and AI organizations.
Translate customer workload requirements, benchmark results, competitive insights, and architectural challenges into product roadmap recommendations.
Influence Intel platform, software, and solution investments through direct engagement with customers and product teams.
Help shape industry-specific reference architectures and optimization strategies.
FinTEC Leadership
Lead the technical strategy and continued evolution of FinTEC, Intel's Financial Technology Executive Council.
Develop a multi-year plan to expand FinTEC's influence on customer engagement, technology direction, ecosystem collaboration, and business outcomes.
Leverage FinTEC insights to identify emerging workload trends, customer requirements, and strategic opportunities.
Facilitate collaboration between customers, Intel product groups, ecosystem partners, and industry leaders.
Ecosystem and Industry Collaboration
Collaborate with hyperscalers, neoclouds, model builders, ISVs, OEMs, system integrators, exchanges, market infrastructure providers, and technology partners including Microsoft, AWS, Red Hat, IBM, Google, Accenture, Deloitte, Dell, HPE, Lenovo, and Supermicro.
Help develop industry-specific solutions and reference architectures that showcase Intel's differentiated capabilities.
Drive adoption of Intel technologies through joint customer engagements, partner initiatives, and technical innovation programs.
Develop and validate benchmark frameworks and test criteria for key workloads, aligning performance measurement with customer deployment environments by leveraging Intel and partner expertise.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
10+ years of experience in Financial Services, enterprise architecture, technical strategy, consulting, field engineering, and technical sales.
Must reside in the tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) and be willing to travel weekly within the territory and as business needs arise in other locations.
Experience and deep understanding of financial services technology environments, including capital markets, banking, payments, insurance, and fintech.
Strong expertise in HPC/grid computing, AI/ML, cloud architecture, containerized platforms, low-latency computing, and modern data center infrastructure.
Experience engaging executive and technical leaders at global financial institutions.
Proven ability to influence product strategy through customer engagement and market insight.
Strong understanding of enterprise platforms, virtualization, Kubernetes/OpenShift, hybrid cloud, and workload optimization.
Proven expertise in developing benchmarking methodologies, performance validation frameworks, and workload-specific test criteria for enterprise-class environments, delivering measurable performance improvements, customer validation, and business outcomes through data-driven benchmarking results.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exceptional communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Hands on experience with CPU and platform architecture, silicon validation, and performance tuning, with experience applying these capabilities to enterprise and mission-critical workloads.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $213,960.00-411,430.00 USD

Work Model for this Role
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
