As an FPGA/Emulation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in Intel's mission to deliver innovative and high-performance products to the market. Your expertise will enable the acceleration of RTL development, optimize FPGA/emulation models, and improve the usability of FPGA/emulation solutions for pre-silicon verification, post-silicon validation, and software development. The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Build and optimize emulation/FPGA models from RTL designs using synthesis, partitioning, and routing tools.

  • Develop, integrate, test, and debug hardware and software collateral in emulation, simulation, and FPGA models.

  • Define and implement new capabilities and tools to improve emulation/FPGA model usability and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with verification teams to optimize pre silicon environments, test suites, and methodologies for emulation.

  • Interface with cross-functional teams to bring up SoC and IP, debug testbench issues, and resolve emulator/FPGA environment challenges.

  • Develop automation aids, flows, and scripts to streamline emulation processes and enhance model usability.

  • Apply expertise in emulation/FPGA tools and methodologies, SoC integration, RTL simulation, and hybrid emulation/FPGA environments.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

  • Bachelor's or BS degree in a specialized field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience per business needs.
  • 4+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years with a Master's degree
  • Proficiency in System Verilog for RTL design and verification.
  • Intermediate experience with emulation tools and/or FPGA prototyping methodologies.
  • Advanced knowledge debugging skills for hardware and software collateral in emulation/FPGA environments.
  • Basic Knowledge of microarchitecture fundamentals, CPU architecture, and SoC integration.
  • Basic Experience in developing automation flows, scripts, and tools using Python or similar programming languages.
  • Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency (both verbal and written).
  • Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Mexico.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

  • Familiarity with emulation performance optimization techniques and hybrid emulation environments.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, validation, and software teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and root cause issues in test environments.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical information effectively across teams.
