Job Description
Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days per week in office (Monday and Tuesday)
QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of experience in the following areas:
- Experience with designing automated tests by creating scripts that run data based testing functions automatically
- Experience prioritizing test scenarios and creating execution plans to implement these scenarios
- Experience in creating test plans, test cases, and preparing test environments
- Experience in performing moderately complex functional, application, and regression testing
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and software development methodologies
- Able to interpret requirement documents and able to update test documents accordingly
- Strong familiarity with analysis, planning, and management reporting functions
- Acquires knowledge of the customer’s business in assigned area
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Able to work with customer as needed during test cycle
- Excellent analytical skills, problem solving, team playing, and oral/written communication skills
- Proven ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups and manage multiple responsibilities
PREFERRED
- 2+ years of experience in the following areas:
- Experience working for State level government organizations
- Familiarity with company’s information architecture and information management technologies
- Familiarity with the existing and planned software technology and the global, regional, and local software architecture and infrastructure components
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates and/or performs work on programming projects including those that are highly complex in nature and/or large in scale
- Coordinates and/or writes test plans and test data
- Writes complex software code and debugs software
- Analyzes proposed applications for software regression suites
- Analyzes, reviews, and revises software to increase operating efficiency or to adapt new procedures
- Prepared detailed analyses, plans, diagrams, and verification procedures for existing and proposed applications
