Brandeis University’s Rabb School of Continuing Studies is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking academic to serve as a Micro Credential Course Developer to create an asynchronous, online professional training course that bridges the gap between AI prompt engineering and real-world business outcomes.

This is a unique opportunity to shape how professionals understand and apply industry-focused AI prompt engineering strategies that drive measurable ROI. If you're passionate about making AI concepts accessible and applicable in modern workplaces—and love designing learning that sticks—we want to hear from you.

What You Will Do

  • Design and develop a 10-15 hour self-paced online micro credential  course with practical application and measurable learning outcomes.

  • Develop interactive case studies that require learners to design and iterate AI prompts strategically aligned with business objectives—emphasizing measurable outcomes such as lead generation, customer retention, or workflow efficiency.

  • Embed performance analytics tasks where learners assess and optimize AI outputs using key metrics (e.g., precision, relevance, conversion rates), reinforcing data-driven decision-making and ROI-focused prompt refinement.

  • Structure cross-functional communication simulations that challenge learners to present AI-driven solutions to diverse stakeholders—culminating in a curated portfolio that showcases prompt engineering applications across marketing, operations, and product domains.

  • Collaborate with the learner designers and instructional technologists to enhance course accessibility and learner engagement.

  • Create course content and materials, including but not limited to course syllabus, course overview, learning outcomes, activities and assignments, required readings, detailed rubrics, grading criteria, summative assessments, and reflective components.

  • Customize course design based on global learner personas and industry standards.

  • Ensure modularity and potential stackability for integration into broader credential pathways.

Who You Are

  • Master’s degree required (Doctorate preferred) in computer science, AI, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of real-world AI experience, including systems integration and prompt engineering.

  • 1+ year of teaching experience, preferably online.

  • Comfort with LMS platforms and digital authoring tools.

  • Technically fluent with AI-powered APIs, automation tools, analytics, and modern IT frameworks.

  • A creative and collaborative spirit with strong communication skills.

  • Strong writing and editing skills to create cohesive, learner-centered experiences

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.

Preferred Extras

  • Experience designing online training programs or micro-credentials.

  • Familiarity with Moodle LMS.

  • Knowledge of adaptive learning, gamified learning, or AI-enhanced education tools.

Details:
