An Intermediate 3D Animator is responsible for bringing life to the characters, creatures, animals, and objects to meet the high-quality requirement in TV series animation.
An Intermediate 3D Animator needs to have good 3D animation skills, and good knowledge of animation principles of body movement, anticipation, weight, follow-through, squash and stretch, deformation, and animation setup. Good storytelling and acting skills would also help an Intermediate 3D Animator in delivering believable characters to the audiences.
Job Responsibilities:
- Able to create high quality animations on creatures, animals, and objects for team lead/ supervisor’s approval on a daily’s basis
- Able to create expressive character animation portraying a wide range of emotions
- Work closely with teammates and team lead to maintain animation quality and consistency, while meeting project requirement and client’s expectation
- Understand the story of each shot in a project and able to give input to achieve high quality of animation that best express the story
- Able to complete tasks under tight datelines
- Effectively communicate and actively seek information to get a clear understanding upon receiving feedback from the seniors and team lead
- Able to QC own works
- Able to work independently and effectively with a team
- Able to improve team spirit
Job Requirements:
- 3 to 4 years of experiences in 3D character animation for characters, creatures, animals, and objects in Feature Films, TV, and Games
- Good knowledge in Unreal Engine or able to learn Unreal Engine quickly
- Good knowledge of animation principles like body movement, anticipation, weight, follow-through, squash and stretch.
- Good knowledge of human anatomy, body languages, acting, storytelling, and cinematography.
- Demonstrate a good sense of posing, timing, and weight
- Have cultivated eye for details
- Good knowledge of directory structure, file formats, naming conventions and automation tools
